Video duration: 280 seconds

The sequel to Hudson's Milon's Secret Castle for the NES/Famicom. Like its predecessor, it's a simple but addictive platformer with some creative level design and a really soothing soundtrack. Recommended if you're ever in the mood for some light-hearted fun.
This video is just a playthrough of the first few levels.

Damn fine shmup right here. One of, if not the rarest PC Engine title, too. This is a full playthrough of Stage 1 on Normal Mode, with no deaths (trust me, a lot harder than it looks).

Gleylancer (Mega Drive): Introduction/Stage 1 Gleylancer (Mega Drive): Introduction/Stage 1

Video duration: 422 seconds

One of the holy grail titles for the system. Is it worth the price of admission? Yes and no. The gameplay is awesome and the difficulty is reasonably high, I guess, but the level design kinda sucks. Despite that, still one of the best 16-bit shmups out there.

A decent overhead action title from HAL Lab, published by Squaresoft. Who knows why it wasn't localized.

ActRaiser (Super Famicom): Kasandora - Act 2 ActRaiser (Super Famicom): Kasandora - Act 2
Posted by: Medelus

Video duration: 209 seconds

Act 2 of Kasandora. Differences include:
- More enemies
- Those pharaoh heads shoot arrows at a faster rate
- Less health items
- The boss spawns those mini pharaoh heads faster, meaning you get raped if you don't know what to do.

Moon Crystal (Famicom) Moon Crystal (Famicom)

Video duration: 215 seconds

One of the better Famicom games never to reach U.S. shores. I dig the game for the most part, but the Prince of Persia-esque jump physics and movement can cause some occasional grief, particularly for the boss battles.
Playthroughs of stages 1 and 2. Recorded with FCE Ultra.

ActRaiser (Super Famicom): Northwall - Act 1 ActRaiser (Super Famicom): Northwall - Act 1
Posted by: Medelus

Video duration: 173 seconds

Act 1 of Northwall: my favorite level. Note the exploit I take advantage of against the boss to score some easy damage. Anyway, only a couple changes here:
- More enemies, of course
- Level design change: there aren't any spikes in the floating ice-block part in the SNES version

ActRaiser (Super Famicom): Bloodpool - Act 1 ActRaiser (Super Famicom): Bloodpool - Act 1

Differences in this level between the NA and JPN versions:
- More enemies
- Some recolored sprites
