Video duration: 220 seconds In 2001, Uniontown, Kan. students first met Irena Sendler, a Polish social worker who saved 2500 Jewish children from the Nazis during the holocaust. Few in the world knew about Sendler's work until the Kansas students wrote the play "Life in a Jar". Sendler died on May 12, 2008, at the age of 98.
