Synchronization of Three Metronomes Posted by: jkeagle13
Video duration: 75 seconds As an addendum to our earlier presentation, Vibrationdata presents another physics masterpiece. Watch as three metronomes set at slightly different rates around 192 beats per minute go from chaos to complete and perfect synchronization. Coupled only by a meter stick resting on two soda cans, this demonstrates science at its greatest. Related: engineering, metronome, metronomes, physics, science, synchronization, vibrationdata |

Metronome Synchronization Posted by: jkeagle13
Video duration: 125 seconds Two metronomes are placed on a common base. The metronome on the left is set at 192 beats per minute. The one on the right is set at a slightly lower rate. The metronome pendulums are initially out-of-phase. The two pendulums oscilate in phase due to conservation of momentum and coupling via the base. A true physics masterpiece! Bumblebee Buzz Polination - Science Posted by: jkeagle13
Video duration: 57 seconds Bumblebee (Bombus Terrestris collecting pollen from a tomato blossom. The bee uses "buzz pollination" or "sonication" to dislodge the pollen from the stamen. The video is courtesty of David Lang of Bio-Bee, Israel. Related: bumblebee, buzz, polination |
